Continuing in my efforts to help keep up your motivation, I am writing this week about Shape Up Sugar Land, a local, grassroots effort to raise awareness of the benefits of daily physical activity. SUSL is also a committee of individuals who, in addition to raising public awareness, are dedicated to helping the City of Sugar Land win its FIFTH straight title as the "Fittest City in Texas!"
The challenge began when Texas Governor Rick Perry began the "Texas Round-Up, " a web-based activity log to encourage physical fitness throughout the state.
I challenge you to go to the site and set up your own activity log. Follow the directions below for joining the Shape Up Sugar Land team, and log your daily activity, which can be anything from running to yoga to housecleaning! When you have achieved 6 weeks of at least 150 minutes of activity per week, you will receive an email certificate of achievement.
Print and show me your certificate, before April 30, 2008, and I will award you one FREE PERSONAL TRAINING SESSION. How's that for motivation!!
