The Dulles Dash 5k run/ walk and 1k Family run saw 131 participants and perfect weather, as runners and walkers from Houston, Sugar Land, and beyond pounded the pavement at Lost Creek Park. Participants ranged in age from 3 to 65, and ran, walked, and strolled, raising money for the Dulles High School Athletic Booster Club. Dulles is one of the oldest schools in the Fort Bend ISD, and is home to this year's runner up at state in boy's basketball. Dulles has also had a great year in soccer, girls volleyball, golf, tennis and swimming, with many athletes going to regionals and state!
The Athletic Booster Club is a not-for-profit organization that raises funds to be used for all Dulles High Sports, and gives several athletic scholarships to qualified seniors each year.

Sponsors of this year's "Dash" include Finish Line Sports, owned by Andy Stewart, a local running coach, Fort Bend Fit, the local marathon training group, MyPersonalFitness.Biz, owned by Margie Connolly, a local marathoner and triathlete, and Shape Up Sugar Land, a volunteer organization founded by Sugar Land Mayor David Wallace, to promote health and fitness in the greater Sugar Land Community.
